Even the antichrist needs a break sometime!
We’re sad to announce that mighty Dane Blacklock will be taking a hiatus from live shows, so if you’re a fan it’s going to be your last chance for a while to catch them doing what they do best - hedonistic debauchery in the name of our dark lord!
It’s hard work being in a project that is obviously created with so much passion and with such an intensity of delivery and crafted narrative structures, doing admin, promo, rehearsals, trucking gear around and staying up till the wee hours, usually while working at least one other job.
Remember to support and respect your musicians and bands that you love, it’s a hard, hard job for those with the will and the desire, and you never know how long a flame will burn for.
Dane Blacklock & the Preachers Daughter is absolutely one of the finest acts in Australia, brimming with theatricality and chops. If you’ve never seen this amazing collective of absolute maniacs, you need to stop what you’re doing RIGHT NOW, sign over your soul and worldly belongings to them and buy a ticket to this show!
Come raise your glass, and join in the chorus of the damned one last time for the foreseeable future, and send them all your energies that they may RISE AGAIN.
NEW COLLABORATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Fellow ritualists Infernal Desire Machine & The Omega Point are combining their beautiful chaos into one explosion of spellcraft. We’re very excited to witness what will come of this meeting of esoteric soundscapes and shibari rituals. Cast your finest circles!
And you can look forward to more joinings of music and flesh on the night…
Melbourne Synthwave duo The Safety Word will be showcasing their darkest set to encase the irrepressible Harli Adalia as they throw the ropes around Lucy the Flesh Cat … They’ll be taking the stage close to 7pm, so be there on time!
The last collaboration of the night will be betwixt sensual sadist and rope menace Himboy and ZCluster. Sai continues their journey of seeing how far the flesh will go before it gives as they perform their vocal duties under the kiss of the ropes. We’re looking forward to what the night will bring, there will be literal dancing in the flames from Red Rakia Dance (in a limited indoor fashion, fear not!), the untamed seductions of Mama Eros from Eros Dancers and the delightful weirdness of what latex fetishist and creator of Demasque Magazine, Baby Voodoo will bring to the stage!
Fetish club night veteran DJ’s Koil Statik and Syme Tollens will be seeing out the night in a wave of grinding, dark beats to bang the dance floor with into the slow march towards dawn, so gird your loins (or ungird them, I’m not the boss of you).
